Boca Raton is two different places when it comes to pools. East of I-95 you'll find older single-family neighborhoods, waterfront homes on the Intracoastal and condo towers along the beach. West of the turnpike, much of what people call "Boca" is actually unincorporated Palm Beach County, built out in large gated and country-club communities. Both have plenty of pools that were plastered years ago and are ready for a new pool finish.
City of Boca Raton or Palm Beach County?
It matters which side of the line you're on. Homes inside city limits deal with the City of Boca Raton for building permits, while many West Boca addresses fall under Palm Beach County instead. A Boca Raton mailing address doesn't settle it. Whether a resurfacing needs a permit depends on the scope (a straight refinish is different from new coping, tile or structural repairs), so we confirm the requirement with the right office for your address before work starts.
Gated communities and club rules
Many Boca communities manage contractor access at the gate, limit work hours and ask for insurance certificates ahead of time. Some architectural committees also want to see the finish color or coping material. Tell us your community when you request an estimate and send us any vendor requirements. We'll get the paperwork to your manager so the start date doesn't slip.
Finishes that suit Boca's light
Bright, clear water is the look most Boca homeowners ask for, and lighter quartz or glass-bead finishes deliver it. Darker finishes read as deep lagoon blue and hide less-than-perfect water chemistry a little better, but they also show calcium deposits more. Look at wet samples in your own backyard light before deciding; our guide to quartz, glass-bead and plaster explains the trade-offs.
Near the beach: tile and coping
On the barrier island and along the Intracoastal, salt air works on grout lines, waterline tile and coping edges. When the pool is drained for resurfacing, it's the cheapest moment to replace a tired waterline tile band or loose coping. We'll point out what we see at the estimate and let you decide.
Estimates are free and based on your actual pool. Request yours, or call or text (954) 953-6207. We reply within 1 business day.

Pool Coping

Do you work in West Boca as well as the city?
Yes. We work across Boca Raton, including the unincorporated communities west of the city limits that use a Boca Raton address. We confirm which office handles permits for your address.
My community requires vendor paperwork. Can you handle it?
Yes. Send us the requirements (insurance certificate, gate list, work hours, color approval) and we'll provide what we can before scheduling.
Should I replace the waterline tile at the same time?
Not always. If the tile is sound, it can stay. If it's cracked, loose or badly stained, doing it while the pool is empty saves a second drain later. We'll show you what we find.
